Young Professional Committee
The Petroleum Club Young Professionals aim to build a team of multidisciplinary young professionals who promote diversity and inclusion within the oil and gas industry. We're pleased to have a team of passionate and enthusiastic young professionals leading this initiative.
Chair - Tayah Gallacher
Tayah is passionately driven in all aspects of her life and strongly believes in team success and working to each individual’s strengths. She believes "you only get out what you put in", as such she is a hardworking and determined individual, who is looking to forge her career within the field of Engineering.
Vice Chair - Jacob Doogue
Strong technical engineer with practical field experience, expanding into commercial and sales in the gas, oil & energy industries. Continuing education through Masters in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, building on BEng Mechatronics Engineering and BCompSc Computer Science from the University of Western Australia.
Committee - Brian Zlnay
Brian is an experienced mechanical engineer and project manager within the oil and gas space. Delivering projects ranging from compressor stations to fuel farms, he is passionate about the industry and the people in it. Brian is committed to engaging with both the current and next generation of young professionals, and fostering relationships for the future.
Committee - Leon Morgan
Leon has a rich background in business development and consulting on growth and strategy in the tech sector. Having worked for small SME business and international organisations; Leon's strength is in building and facilitating partnerships that help industry collaborate, innovate and grow together.
Leon currently hold various board and committee appointment and works with Sentient Computing in developing and identifying innovative visualisation solutions for the resources sector.
Committee - Rory Edwards
Rory is a Project Engineer who holds a Master of Professional Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce. He has held multiple roles in the oil & gas industry since completion of his studies with involvement in both brownfield and greenfield projects. Rory is a rugby union diehard who serves on the committee of his local club.
Committee - Saasha Callaghan
Having a very ‘untraditional’ exposure to the niche field of waste water treatment her various experiences across multiple fields has lead to various successes as a young professional. Saasha has a keen interest in various disciplines. Starting in the Strength & Conditioning field to then proceed into drafting, marketing and business management.
Saasha has been the face of “Bow Tie Fridays” with co-host Chris Roberts and a finalist in the Optus Business Awards for 'Social Media Strategy of the Year'. Administrating operations within OLEOLOGY and beyond, has provided the stepping stone to be a strong member in the Petroleum & Mining Industries.
