By 2018 Western Australia will have 5 LNG facilities with an expected export capacity of 49.9 MTPA, a significant percentage of the World’s LNG production.
The boom within the industry was driven by several factors, including the price of gas within the Asian region and Western Australia’s close proximity to the world’s biggest markets for LNG. However, much of the engineering, design and construction for these projects has been performed outside of Western Australian borders.
Engineers Australia WA Oil and Gas Committee are hosting two presentations by industry leaders followed by a panel Q&A session that will provide insight into the constraints and opportunities.
